Now that’s “M+TV” as in “Music PLUS TV” not some hip way of writing “MTV” or anything. Anyway, after being somewhat concerned all week that I wouldn’t be able to come up with enough news stories to actually do a full “Music News” report, much less find enough stories to make it entertaining and/or funny – I got lucky today as a friend sent me a variety of articles she scoured the web for, and I found enough gold in them thar hills to come up with another report.
I wonder, however, how long I can keep this up. When pressed to suddenly come on and “do at least 5 minutes of stand-up” I thought “umm.. with no live audience? Fuck that”. However, I’m an admitted media/publicitiy/attention whore, almost by trade, and I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to be some part of a Metal show on a new TV station (even though they’re solely broadcasting via the web right now). So, in an attempt to stay “with it”, I just said “umm.. I’ll do music news”, because I had just thought of some decent material about this Michael Jackson bullshit, and I spent too much time reading about people’s views concerning the new album covers for Coldplay, and The White Stripes. From there, it was a simple matter of ripping on Fred Durst for his attempts at making a porno (despite that news being already months-old) and then tossing in small pieces of headlines grabbed from music news sources around the web.
It worked. That week.
But this week, I wasn’t so sure. I even began to wonder “should I just do ‘entertainment news’ instead?”. Problem with that is – I’d have to sit around and gossip and I fuckin’ hate celeb gossip. I may end up doing that, out of desperation, but for now… the Music News is staying. And, dare I say, I think this one will be quite a bit more entertaining (and much more topical in regards to “metal”) than last week’s.
So this is a request. A plea, of sorts. WATCH IT!

A few quick notes..
1. IT IS LIVE. Meaning.. if you don’t catch it between 9 and 10pm (it’s on for a full hour – I come on around halfway through), then you’re not gonna catch it at all.
2. IT’S ON THE FRONT PAGE. When you load up the site – there it is, already playing. Nothing to worry about.
3. IF YOU’RE HAVING ISSUES VIEWING IT IN YOUR BROWSER… then do what I do. I’m on a Mac, and Windows Media Player (like most things Microsoft) is a bit buggy. So, I just open Windows Media Player, and select “Go To URL” and paste in the following link : mms://media.vitalstream.com/13304_live_musicplustv.asf?media=1921144&package=1840600&event=0
