(brace yourselves, it’s NOT April 1st)
“Bottled water became one of the most profitable drink products in the United States, selling for a dollar or more per bottle. All of this, despite being available for free in nature and only costing pennies from your tap. Many will argue that the water from your tap is just as “pure†as most bottled water as well.”

“Ever since you were born, you’ve been breathing oxygen for free, Right? Well the masters of mundane marketing agree that it is time for you to adjust your thinking. Yes, you can breathe air for free; but how lame is that? Naturally occuring oxygen is just so 10,000 years ago. It’s time for you to begin breathing more pure, more refreshing oxygen.”
Oh yeah. You saw it and scoffed at it in Spaceballs. Now, apparently, truth is stranger than Mel Brooks fiction. I, personally, never once sat down at an “Oxygen Bar”. It’s not that I personally dislike Woody Harrelson, but I have it on good word that he put those things out on a dare from a friend that he couldn’t literally SELL oxygen to people. And, well, he did. I sincerely hope this whole canned oxygen thing is either a very clever trick, or a fad that dies out long before it has a chance to really catch on. At $25 PER CAN(!), I would assume we’re smarter than that.
Please tell me we’re not THAT stupid as a culture. Please?
Here’s a full article about the O2 biz.
Here’s a page in the UK from the sellers of “OGO”.
And, here’s a page for the US from “Big OX”.
Also – why didn’t either of these companies spend an extra $20 on a decent website?
