In less than 7 hours, I’ll finally have made it through 2008. Some of you reading this may already be living in 2009 (is the future so bright, you need to wear shades?).
Seems a lot of people I know had a shitty 2008. Frankly, can’t even think of many people who’ve said otherwise. But, that’s behind us now, right? Yes. Yes it is.
In the spirit of feeling good, here’s what we (at least we in the U.S.) can look forward to in 2009 :
- No more George Bush!
- No more Dick Cheney!
- A Democrat in the White House! And one that actually makes people feel… HOPE
- Lower gas prices
- An economy on the upturn
Personally, I’ve got a few pretty exciting things happening just in the first week :
- My first comedy showcase (for Comedy Central) this Saturday, Jan 3rd (details here)
- An appearance on TNT’s hit show “Leverage” (details here)
- Finally pulling myself out of debt, thanks to some new clients I’ve secured.
After that, who knows where it’ll go. My only resolution is to keep on keepin’ on. I’ve been keeping myself busy (a little too busy) and I hope to provide some new and exciting entertainment for anyone who cares to watch/see/hear/click it.
So, hey.. Happy Fuckin’ 2009, people. And, please, I mean this sincerely – DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. If you go out tonight, play it safe. Statistically speaking, we lose 15,000 just in the U.S. alone due to drunk driving accidents. Not cool. I know you think you’ve “got it handled”, but why bother? There’s always a better option. Exercise it, and live to see 2010. When we all get our jet packs. You don’t wanna miss out on that, do you?
