I am Oscar of Oscar and Bernie, had a 1:40 call time from Vegas at Improv and it was on time. The thing to me seemed to me is that only Improv. people made it. No one from Vegas did; LCS people told me. Maybe a Laff Factory regular or Comedy Store, but in one line it seemed to be all Improv. comics. Neutral ground would be better. Also who were the 3 judges? The one I've seen on TV, but the girl and the older guy? He was the one who said I wasn't what they were looking for, but over the top is what the ad said on Craigs list. And no audience to hear your act. The other guy was laughing saying I was funnier than Dunham, but said he didn't understand the cigar I was holding. I replied that Bernie already said, “don't look behind the curtains, you'll see Oscar's lips moving!” Then added here's my card as I jumped off the stage and gave it to the judges. Just to hip for the room. PS. I've worked with AWC; Mark is a great guy.

Business as usual. I read up on all the LCS experiences I could find before deciding not to audition a while back. As far as I was able to tell, only one person from the line has made it through to the semi-finals, and only because she was picked by the audience during the audition night. Everybody else is from the pre-booked appointments. Even if you had made it inside, you wouldn't have seen the judges. In past years they've had 9-10 comics at a time sitting at a table with a PA, delivering 30 seconds each of comedy.

Sorry, but I think your missing the point, I don't believe he is “trying” to be funny, I know comedians are suppose to be funny ALL the time, but I think he is just trying to tell a story here.

The LCS Facebook page has now been wiped clean of any disparaging comments. Guess they don't want the people in NYC getting wind of what happened. Too late. Thanks for posting this blog… I'm still going to NYC but at least I'm not going delusional.

I figure it was a chance to “jump the line” of trudging along in the entertainment industry, and for that.. it was worth it. I make no excuses for their poor handling of the situation, however, so I appreciate your blog entry earlier.

good post dude … almost saw my self in the video, im was inches from the door and I yellllled hella fucked up shit at that point….having a PA and a cop come out and tell us to leave was lame… oh well…guess to make it you need an agent.
