I have a new application on my phone that lets me stream LIVE video all over the world at the push of a button. I’ve run some tests, and it works great. The quality could be better, but c’mon.. it’s like having a TV broadcast tower in my damned pocket.

So, I’ve decided I’m gonna try something all-new for my next gig (this Thursday, Aug 20th) – I’ll be streaming my entire performance LIVE.

So, I went “speed dating” sometime back in August and it turned out to be part of the hit trash reality show The Bad Girls Club.

I wish I could tell you all about that night. But, I’m under a strict NDA. What I can say is this…

I went into the night just trying to be calm, and not let anything bother me. I wasn’t about to play it up for cameras, or create fights and drama just so I could get a mention on The Soup or some shit.

However, the night got so fucking crazy and the GIRLS were so fucking crazy that.. I finally just snapped. All these months I’ve thought “I really hope they show my side when …

So, I set a new personal record for longest comedy performance on Thursday night at Shooters. 30 fuckin’ minutes. I’d only written about 5 mins of new material, and TK said “you can do like 15 minutes. If you’re killing, I’ll let you keep going”. At around 21 minutes, I’d run out of the material that was immediately on the top of my head, and TK yelled from off-stage “you’re good, man. keep goin’!”. So, I launched into a newer bit that probably was a little rustier than it should’ve been. In hindsight, maybe I should’ve used the piercings/tattoos material. Ah well.

I’d like to record a comedy EP sometime in December, and while I was worried I wouldn’t be …

So, last night I went back for a 2nd performance at the Aura Nightclub. I still love that club. Though, last night had a bit of a weird vibe. Seemed some of the comedians thought so too.

Last night’s gig at the Aura Nightclub was a comedian’s dream. GREAT crowd. GREAT comics. GREAT host, high-energy, the room was large and comfortable. Everything was setup for maximum funny.

Big ups to TK (here’s his myspace page) for booking me there, and for keeping the funny going once he got up there to close out the show. It’s always nice when the host AND the comic running the room are both funny as shit. And, they were.

I’ve got another gig at Aura next weekend, Saturday. 7:30pm. $10 cover. FREE Parking. I highly recommend checking it out, and not just cause I’ll be there.

I’m heading out to Colorado for my mom’s memorial service, so I’ll be away for a few …

I’m rocking the world-famous Comedy Store – MAIN STAGE – on the Sunset Strip. The doors open at around 8pm, and the show is supposed to start shortly thereafter. Cover is $15, and I STRONGLY suggest you bring a few people to help you offset the cost of parking around there.

Usually, they have a “surprise guest” or two hitting the stage, so you could end up seeing not just me – but someone who’s actually been on TV.

Now that’s “M+TV” as in “Music PLUS TV” not some hip way of writing “MTV” or anything. Anyway, after being somewhat concerned all week that I wouldn’t be able to come up with enough news stories to actually do a full “Music News” report, much less find enough stories to make it entertaining and/or funny – I got lucky today as a friend sent me a variety of articles she scoured the web for, and I found enough gold in them thar hills to come up with another report.

Tonight, at 9pm, a new TV station called “Music Plus TV” is making their worldwide debut, and will be airing a show called “Metal Mayhem”. The host, Crazy J, has invited me on to do .. whatever the hell I want. Since this is only the first show and we’re still not sure what the fuck we’re gonna do with it, the easiest/funniest thing I could think of was to do Music News, in my own special brand of sarcastic, cynical humor. So, tonight, I will be making my TV debut on Music Plus TV and sounding off about recent events in the world of music news. I’ll be performing at the Passive Arts Center, again on Carnivale DeSade night – May 7th, 2005. But.. this is the last CDS ever!. That’s right, they’re packin’ it up and movin’ it out, where it will join other special club nights in the sky. Man, that joke sucked. Anyway, hopefully I’ll be immeasurably funnier on May 7th than I’m being right now. Gimme a break, I’m tired, it’s early and I’m at work. Besides, sales pitches are rarely funny.
