My standard response (to anyone outside of my close friend circle) when I get the oft-asked question about plans for various projects has always been “I don’t discuss upcoming projects until I feel confident that I’m finishing it soon”.

However, as I actually have quite a shitload of things on my plate this year, I thought it might be a good idea to make them public so people can hold me to it. A brief rant about stand-up comedy follows.

A series of random thoughts I’ve had recently.

It would be great if…

…the leaders of the Republican party would just drop the shit and say “Okay, okay.. that whole ‘God and Jesus’ thing is just a ploy to retain an emotional stranglehold on the masses so they don’t notice when we financially rape them”

…the U.S. legal system would consider a rape victim’s sexual history, proclivities, social activities and social circle “inadmissable as evidence” and instead focus on the only thing that matters : did the girl get raped? (sidenote : although only 2-8% of rape cases turn out to be lies, only 5.7% of rape cases actually result in a conviction. so, why does everyone focus on the extremely fringe possibility …

No real rhyme or reason here. Just have a couple of things that have been pissing me off lately, and I want to get them off my chest. Prepare for an angry rant, and some commentary.

So, I’ve mentioned it once or twice, but I finally did it. Today, I received my 2GB iPod nano. Black, of course. Sometimes, I have weird day dreams. Random thoughts, really. Not so much full-on “here’s a scenario” dreams. Just weird “ha! that’d be funny if…..”

Today, I will present you with a list of some of them, cause I like to share my peculiarities with the world. It’s like giving you all an STD that tickles. Without all the genital itching. And.. okay, nothing at all like an STD. Now, on with the blog!

Randomly came across one of those “lists” women make of things men do wrong. This time, it was 41 bedroom-related tasks that men fumble around and fuck up. While I’d hardly claim to be perfect, and I know there’s a great deal of men that could use advice of that sort – these lists reek of pretension and Princess Syndrome. Besides, if men listened to women about what women wanted, they’d never get another date. Women don’t know shit about what they want (I’ve mentioned this before). However, in the interest of fair play, I’m going to peruse this little “list” and respond where necessary.

I recently decided to really milk the whole “birthday” thing (of which is actually today, if you care) and spend the better part of a week partying. It helps, as well, that BellaVendetta’s launch party was to happen on the 26th of October. Just in time. A perfect reason/excuse/opportunity to check out the city I knew I’d love. And, oh.. I did. Yes, there are some pictures included in this entry.

I’ve been meaning to update, to write an entry that would follow-up my last “major” post about my decision to temporarily lead a life of celibacy, and to wax intellectually on sex, life, love, and emotions. I even thought I’d need to break those up into separate entries. But, no. I’ve realized they’re all inter-related, and all relevant to the grander picture. This will be long, and revealing. Perhaps, however, insightful and useful to you.

You’d think, having had some 23 needles punched through my skin for the purpose of keeping some kind of decorative jewelry in its stead, I would learn certain lessons. One such lesson – REMEMBER WHERE YOU’RE RECENTLY PIERCED.

I was driving home with my co-worker Donnie, and I had my window down. The sun around 6:30pm in L.A. shines nicely into my car while driving (or trying to drive as the case may be in our wonderful traffic) and tends to make things light up. The title’s a bit misleading, I’ll admit that upfront. I went on my jog tonight. My first real jog since … let’s not dwindle on the past, but it’s been awhile. Maybe ever. I used to jog around the parking structure at my old apartment. The thinking being that if I collapsed from over-exertion, I wouldn’t be far from home. Also, I lived amongst the scientologists – so you can understand my reluctance to do any physical activities around them (again, if I were to collapse..)

Today, I made the conscious effort to actually go for a jog. Moreover, upon returning, I told myself "okay Mitcz, let’s do this more often". I’m going to really try to make this a regular …
