Today, Mitcz hits Vegan turf!

If you know me, you know I despise the vegan movement. Why would an animal-loving, otherwise environmentally conscious guy like me be against a seemingly pro-animal movement? Becuase, in essence - the movement is essential promoting, if even on a semi-permanent basis, the pointless slaughter and excess waste of animal by-products.

Look… if you don’t eat meat, that’s fine, whatever. But, then to never intake anything or purchase anything that has, in any way, a relation to some sort of (implied) suffering to any animal - you’re hurting the cause. I say implied suffering b/c who’s ever interviewed an animal and heard "yeah, that whole spike-through-the-eyes thing is really chaffin’ me, dude"? Until you do, you’re just assuming that the animals are in pain and hate it. Ohhhh boo-fuckin’-hoo. Cows are useless, but they taste great. Chickens are loud, useless, and annoying. But ohhhh so good.

Now, if the vegan movement slowly started to get their way, they’re not saving any animals. The same amount of animals will be slaughtered everyday. They’ll just be getting wasted instead of ingested. And, by paying a grocery store for the meat, you’re not supporting the meat-packers - you’re supporting the store who supported them. And at taht point we’ll end up going off on how us drug-using kids aren’t in any way helping terrorists by buying the drugs that a moronic gov’t and worried-ignorant parents helped make illegal in the first place. But, that’s a different topic. The point is, unless Veganism (or stupidity as I like to call it) reaches some mass-market standpoint where 40% of America buys into their utter bullshit - they’re doing more harm than good. And, I’ll tell you now - I WILL NEVER BE VEGAN!!! I can be persuaded on some things, but no one’s taking away my right to steak. Ya know what? There’s millions upon millions of people all over the world that feel the same way. So… don’t eat meat. I give a fuck. But, you’ll never convince more than 20% of America to be vegan. And, if you can’t get at least 70-80% of the people’s approval on a movement…. guess what? You’re beating a dead horse. And, beating yourself up over a useless cause that’s too personal to be a movement.

Now, on to this story: http://www.erikmarcus.com/pages/article.php?id=840

I will quote somethings from the article that bother the HUMAN animal. (cause afterall, we’re animals too, our evolution said "kill cows!" and we did. Ya wanna go tell a tiger to have some leafy lettuce as opposed to a dear? I didn’t think so)

"If you try to be as vegan as possible, and you agree that supporting this product is important, you need to make a couple requests when ordering your Veggieburger. First, ask that they leave off the mayonnaise, which comes standard with this product. Second, ask that your burger patty be microwaved rather than grilled. All Burger King outlets have been instructed to offer this option, so that vegetarians won’t have to eat a product that is cooked on the same grill that is used to cook beef."

So, now this minimum-wage guy, trying to just barely get by in life has a new breed of annoying asshole customer to deal with. Now he’s got to fuckin’ SEPARATE their precious veggieburger from the grill and microwave it (nevermind that *gasp* you’re now nuking 60% of your nutrients away - so what’s the fuckin’ use?). And, how exactly is getting some blood from a REAL burger on your shitburger supporting the meat industry? Well, it’s not. And before you go telling me about how the idea is to stay as close to 100% as possible - don’t forget that the article says it’s more important to support the cause than to ingest non-animal by-products.

And, while I’m at it - isn’t supporting the veggieburger to the degree of going out of one’s way just to eat it twice a week - effectively over-supporting a business that pays to have animals slaughtered every single day? So, once again.. more harm than good - if you’re to believe their laws.
