Oh yeah - one final weird link…

A guy set up a site where you register your name, e-mail addy, and the e-mail addy’s of a few of your friends. If you don’t respond within a certain amount of time to their "check up" e-mail, you are presumed dead, so it notifies all your online buddies. That’s kinda fucked - what if your e-mail’s on the fritz for a week? Everyone’s gonna think you died.
