Preview a New Track?

Had a beat and some samples lying around that I’ve been meaning to use. And, a very short spoken word piece I’ve been meaning to put to music. Thought I’d toss ‘em together and see what happens. I think it turned out pretty well. It needs a lot of work, finalization, more effects, perhaps more spoken word, bla bla bla but, it’s a pretty decent preview track for now anyway.

And if you’re thinking "jesus, this is some sullen shit. Mitcz sounds suicidal" don’t read too much into it. I wrote this piece a few months ago, long before my current situation and while it’s somewhat related (and seems eerily appropriate right now), I’m really not THAT depressed right now. I promise you.

I’m just not sure if it sounds really cheesy. The idea was to make the spoken word piece kind of subtle, make it sound distant and more like a sample from a movie than an actual spoken word piece. But, painful honesty is always appreciated - so go ahead and tell me it’s cheese-core.
